Established in Singapore by Managing Director Aaron Lim. Started as a stationery printer with two employees, two units of single-colour Ryobi printing machines (Ryobi 500NMP & Ryobi 2800CD) and a Heidelberg platen press to do perforations and die-cutting. Occupied a floor space of 800 square feet in Irving Industrial Building in Singapore.
Weathered the Asian Financial Crisis and purchased its first A2-size single-colour Heidelberg KORD. Ventured into Johor Bahru Malaysia with the investment of two factory units.
Upgraded to the Ryobi 510KNP to replace the Ryobi 500NMP to achieve fast and quality prints. The press machine was also used for perforation and numbering.
Expanded into book printing with the support of a two-colour A2-size Heidelberg MOZP Perfector and started a post-press department with a Shoei Star folding machine and a Horizon perfect bind machine.
Added Osako gathering machine, Rilecart wire-o machine and Perfecta 115 Guillotine machine in the post-press department.
Purchased its first four-colour Ryobi 754. Added another Shoei Star 54 folding machine and Nagai 115 Guillotine machine to cope with the increased production capacity.
Officially launched GraffitiWorld Network on 3rd March 2013.
Incorporated Refine Printing Sdn Bhd at Sri Plentong, Masai in Malaysia with a small shophouse.
Refine Printing Malaysia equipped with die-cutting and lamination facilities.
Purchased Refine Printing Malaysia’s first four-colour Komori 2840.
Acquisition of its first four-colour Ryobi 924 and Nagai 116 Guillotine by Refine Printing Singapore. Occupied a total floor space of 16,000 square feet.
Global financial crisis. Refine Printing Malaysia upgraded its Komori 2840 to Mitsubishi D3000. At the same time, Refine Printing Singapore upgraded its finishing capabilities with a Heidelberg online stitcher ST100, Shoei Star 84 folding machine and another Nagai 116 Guillotine.
Boosted pressroom productivity and efficiency with a new Heidelberg Suprasetter CtP. Diversified into digital printing with Fuji Xerox 700i and obtained colour consistency with CGS colour management solutions.
Acquisition of two landed factory units in Johor Bahru Malaysia. Implemented Quote & Print ERP & MIS solution in its operations in Singapore and Malaysia. First foray into case-making in Refine Printing Malaysia. In the same year, won the Winner Award and the “Best of the Best” Award in its maiden competition at the Malaysia Print Awards under the category of Paper Packaging.
Refine Printing Malaysia enhanced its print capabilities with a brand new six-colour with coater Ryobi 926. Upgraded to Kodak Magnum CtP and Kodak Prinergy solution. Since Refine Printing’s establishment in 1994, Refine Printing today has more than 100 employees with operations spanning two countries with a floor space of more than 50,000 square feet.
